What will your charger really cost?

Most quotes skip the panel question until the electrician is standing in your garage. Three taps and you see the whole picture: the circuit, the wire run, and whether your panel can take it.

1What do you drive?
2How far is the parking spot from your panel?
3What does your main breaker say?

It’s the big breaker at the top of the panel, usually stamped 100, 125, 150 or 200.

Is this an emergency?

Tick what you’re seeing, hearing or smelling. We’ll tell you straight: call 911, call us now, or book a visit. Monsoon nights included.

What’s going on? Tick all that apply.

Nothing ticked yet.

Tick anything that applies. If you can smell smoke or see flames, don’t wait for a website: get everyone out and call 911.

A rough guide, not a diagnosis. When in doubt, call: a licensed electrician answers day and night (sample service).

Proof is inside the box

Open any panel we’ve wired.

Drag across a sample job: the panel we found, and the one we left. Neat isn’t vanity. Neat is how the next electrician, or your home inspector, can see it’s safe.

Straight answers.

Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?

Not always. Plenty of 150 and 200 amp panels take a charger as they are, and a load-management device can often save a 100 or 125 amp panel. We do the load calculation before anyone says the word upgrade.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, on every job that needs one. In Phoenix that means a City permit and an inspection. We book it, meet the inspector and hand you the paperwork.

Can you install the charger I already bought?

Yes: any listed Level 2 charger, hardwired or plug-in. If you have not bought one yet, we will tell you what size makes sense for your car and your panel.

What counts as an emergency?

Sparks, burning or fishy smells, hot outlets or panels, buzzing, water in wiring, or a whole-house outage that is not the utility. The 24/7 line answers all of those. Smoke, flames or a downed line: call 911 first.

What does a visit cost?

In this sample: $129 to diagnose and write a price, credited if we do the work. EV and panel site visits are free. Every price on this site is a sample for a fictional business.

Are you licensed?

A real Sonoran Current site would show its Arizona ROC licence number right here and on every quote. This is a fictional sample business, so there is no number to show.
